Welcome to the Hawthorne Pride Alliance website which is designed to keep the community informed of the activities that the HPA ("Hawthorne Pride Alliance") does to encourage understanding and inclusivity within the community. The Hawthorne Pride Alliance was developed to dedicate, to motivate, and to celebrate the members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. The Hawthorne Pride Alliance is an independent organization and it is not affiliated, nor shall it be affiliated or endorsed by any political party, religious group, or governmental agency. The President, Vice President, and members in good standing will fill the Alliance in a non-partisan manner choosing residents who want to work to bridge the gap between the LGBTQ+ community and the community at large. Through education, visibility, and presence, the Hawthorne Pride Alliance will work together with members of the LGBTQ+ community, and their allies, in a nonpartisan manner to educate, motivate, appreciate, elevate, dedicate, and inspire the LGBTQ+ community. 

As we step into a new year, we do so with trepidation and hope. The journey toward equality and acceptance is not without its challenges. Still, we remain steadfast in our mission, buoyed by our community's resilience and our allies' unwavering support. Together, we’ve made meaningful progress, and together, we’ll continue to rise above obstacles with courage and determination. 

This year promises to be one of excitement, collaboration, and growth. We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be working closely with our sister organization, the Pride Alliance of Passaic County, to further our shared vision of inclusivity and unity. Additionally, we can’t wait to unveil our brand-new theatrical production, which we believe will inspire and empower all who experience it. 

As we move forward together, let’s acknowledge the challenges ahead while celebrating the strength and beauty of our community. Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to a year of progress, resilience, and pride.
