Welcome to the Hawthorne Pride Alliance website which is designed to keep the community informed of the activities that the HPA ("Hawthorne Pride Alliance /") does in order to encourage understanding and inclusivity within the community. The Hawthorne Pride Alliance was developed in June 2020 in conjunction with Mayor Richard Goldberg, Mayor Emeritus of Hawthorne, and residents of the Borough of Hawthorne to educate, to dedicate, to motivate and to celebrate the members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies.
The Hawthorne Pride Alliance is an independent organization and it is not affiliated, nor shall it be affiliated or endorsed by any political party, religious group, or governmental agency. The President, and Vice President, along with members in good standing, will fill the Alliance in a non-partisan manner choosing residents who want to work to bridge the gap between the LGBTQ+ community and the community at large. Through education, visibility and presence, the Hawthorne Pride Alliance will work together with members of the LGBTQ+ community, and their allies, in a nonpartisan manner to educate, motivate, appreciate, elevate, dedicate and inspire the LGBTQ+ community.
Message from the President
The Hawthorne Pride Alliance will be at the 7th Annual "Paws in the Park. " Come by and say HI!
We are very proud to announce the latest addition to the Hawthorne Pride Alliance-- The Pride Players. As part of the Hawthorne Pride Alliance's Mission , we will achieve those statements by using theater to educate, motivate, celebrate and dedicate. We believe that live theater brings people together to dream, to live, and at times, to heal. Moreover, in conjunction with Alliance , we continue to work together in a way that encourages collaboration and creativity for people to be their true authentic selves. Past productions can be viewed here. The Pride Players are proud to announce its Winter Production that will be performed on December 8, 9, 10.
HPA is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization that is entirely run by volunteers.
