As of Saturday, July 16th, 988 is the three-digit dialing code for the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline network. Trained counselors will listen, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary. If you or someone you love is in distress, call 988 to be connected to compassionate support.
